Also powered up my distribution board today to check to see if the Voltmeter and Ammeter work.
I used a circuit breaker with twin circuits on it one will be the power circuit and the other will be a charge circuit.

Put a dummy load on it to check, have the instruments on a switch so it wont drain the battery as well.

Great set up mate I've had the same canopy as that for 2 years with no probs . Only thing gone wrong with it was had to replace the struts as they shit themselves

looking good. I'm still thinking about doing this setup on my vehicle

will have to make the hard decisions very soon, as the big trip is 6 months away!

It is a fairly big investment Craig but will take this setup to the next ute, and if for any reason I get a cruiser wagon I can still have it setup on a trailer in liftoff configuration (so Ive still got a trailer). Ive stuffed around with ute tubs with tonneaus and canopies and will never go down that path again.
Been lucky as McSumway and Alby have been giving me pointers on setup.

Thanks Matske. I went for their 3mm propellor plate so it is a bit heavier again. I ended up twisting the headboard structure as one of the jacks caught a lug on the tray as I was driving out from underneath.....  It bent up the jack somewhat and kinda buggered up the squareness of the door opening as well.

Engineering skills! Thats the funniest thing Ive read all year....
Setup the sheets in the shed last night to do a prefab. Had some C sections folded up to lift the draws cut them to length.
Image
C sections will be bolted to the backwall and welded to sidewall.

Pretty happy with the setup.

Looks awesome skog.

I'm loving the drawer system I went plastic box's, Might be trying them out instead. I saw them up the road the other day.

Your not wrong about jacks being heavy & expensive to boot. But you can't deny they do the job.

Tacked it all together tonight pretty happy with the result. Decided to use spread mesh between the fridge and draws to allow a bit of ventilation and access to the plug. I've got 70mm of space underneath the draws now to store things without even modifying the canopy floor yet.

It fits.. stuffed up trimming the final length. Had to remove the rear strut which allowed me to slide the divider back another 30mm. Which actually gives the fridge a bit of room which is good.
Image

With all the draws in.
Image
Will get this sheet of alloy trimmed and folded down to the height of the bottom of the top draws and fridge. This will keep all the bottom draws in whilst driving but give me access to fridge and top draws whilst touring. The canopy door should keep the top draws closed when shut.
Image
The sheet will also double as a table that will clip onto the side of the Ute. Now to weld it all up and bolt it in...
