DMN LOW BUILD

Postby Shortyzz on Mon, 28 Nov 2011 7:19 +0000

Hi guys i decided to Start a new Build, As for the Damn Low part it was the number plates from my old car

How i Bought it in NOV 09

Image

I soon removed the Factory Bull Bar and Fitted a 06 White front bar, Tub liner and Roll Bar

Image

That front Bar only lasted a week and i destoryed in trying to wheel a stock truck :( , So i 'found' an 09 bumper at my local ARB and fitted that

Image

A little white later i fitted a Bodylift and Extended rear shackles and Strut Blocks as i was still unsure on what lift to go with, and of course the 285/75/16 MTZ's :D And another 09 Front Bar.

I bent up a front roll bar to hold the spotties for another DI camping weekend

Just enjoying DI

Image

Went out wheeling up the Glass house

Four hours to drive less then 5 km
Image
Image
i found a bog hole
Image
Image
End product
Image

Had to deflate each rim and clean the bead out, so much mud everywhere.

Next was to come was an XROX bar, Moved the spotties, and Rear quarter Chop.

I love that 1/4 chop......but then again my opinion is biased :P

just think the rear end looks so much better with it done. the standard rear end just looks too low and bulky and Im not a fan of "Big Butts".

Yeah I chopped mine about a week after you did Maxx, still have to make a rear tube bar and lift the tow bar, it would of helped on the weekend at Ormeau, I wouldn't of smashed yet another tail light and dented the tray ha

I'll upload some more pics as it sits atm with the new Rekon gear

Hey Guys thought id give a bit of an update.

I put together quiet a large ordered from Matty at MR, practically every thing i could other than going SAS (WISH LIST)

Set of Sliders from Buddy
Diff Drop
Coilovers and shocks, UCA with the Uni
and a few other things.

I removed the front swaybar to get the maximum front end flex and haven't looked back
I also teamed them up with Dobison rear leafs (2 inch lift, 200kg heavier)

I also replaced the two IPF light with a 22inch LED bar

Image
Image
In the process of raising the two bar and making a tub rear bar, and mud flaps :D

Now with some flex show off photos

Its a Full MR Rekon set, its the latest batch, adjustable from 2 to a 6 inch lift, currently sitting just at 3.5 inch i think.

Still undeiced hence why i have made one yet ha. Either just a sinlge 2 3/4 inch tube to pretect the quarter chop, or to include the tow bar and an extra Bar just JCX77's to protect the lights, because i did smash another tail light and did some panel damage just under the light and on the tailgate the other weekend at Ormeau.
