Spartan auto lockers are on ebay for around $350 delivered... I've been looking but dont know about auto lockers :? I'd get a bar and some other bits with the loose change..

I have a spartan locker to go in the front of mine. I would definantly choose a locker over a bullbar anyday. Spartan lockers are very well proven in the states and have shown themselves to be just as good, if not better than a lock right (spartan uses a stronger spring design).

Also there is no problem with having an auto locker in the front, IMO it is better as it will disengage when not needed where as people running ARB's normally keep them engaged in small periods where the locker is not required (putting more strain on the diff). I also have a couple of other mates over here using them in the front who says they have worked very well for them.

ps for ur situation, get the ard rear locker... u will love the massive gain in offroad performance... a bullbar wont do much for u in that sense

yes there is......you cannot fit a auto locker to the front of a current model hilux due to one cv shaft constantly turning....even when not in low range......previous shape hilux's no problem, just not in current.

thanks for that max

im probably more leaning towards the arb locker. i have read some comparisons in regards to arb vs tjm air lockers and the arb ones are tried and tested and dont seem to have too many issues compared to tjm. I have also decided that i will just put it in the rear for the moment as it will suit my needs better. all i need to do now is wait until tuesday until my pay comes in and then she will be getting booked in. thanks all for the help guys

the only problem with bondy's front bar (no offence mate) but for the price he is asking plus the cost of new mounts to suit no body lift you are almost at the cost of a brand new xrox bar...unless you can sell the mounts, which IMO would be hard and you would regain the money spent on buying mounts to suit no body lift

Hey dan sounds like u want me to keep it... Yer new mounts around 200 and selling other mouts will be hard.. I would be getting a rear locker and then just keep a eye on eBay.

to be honest i dont really want to get an xrox. i know the approach angle is great with those bars and they are a great price but i want a bullbar that has the loops around the headlights for protection as well as i will prob want scrub bars in the future.

Thanks for that max, obviously I own a 4th gen and have not seen the workings of the later model. Very interesting to know though.

As I said if I were you I would throw an arb rear in ;)
