I ended up going 600nm struts and have different height from drivers side (1800 to lowest part of door) to passenger side (1725 to lowest part of door) due to going to fit and awning on the pass anger side at a later date. Just a matter of adjusting mounting points to adjust height. Luckily I am vertically challenged so don't hit my head, bearing in mind still running factory suspension in the rear, height will go up with upgrade of rear springs and shocks (expecting another 40 to 50 mm in height which works perfectly for me).

Well needed to mount a reverse camera and being a bit of a tight arse and not wanting loose the stereo screen as it's hard wired to come on with the accessories on the key to act like a rear view mirror I needed somewhere to mount the screen, so where better than the sunglasses holder. Required a bit of modification while it was out but needed to do that to run wiring. Photo below.

Sorry for the late reply, I ended up using dulux metal shield paint as we have some spin offs with price through work colour oolong ( matches close slightly darker). Using this and me not having any experience painting it came up ok and easy enough to touch up or lightly sand and re coat down the track. Done a few trips in it already and has a few pin strips but it's not a show car.

On another note have been in discussion with Brendan at Ultimate regarding rear suspension and will have that sorted in the coming weeks then to re do the front soon after.

Also need to put away some more coin to get new exhaust and a piggy back ecu and a new clutch to handle the remap. At this stage looking at using Diesel Power unlimited here in Mackay. Been talking with the guys there and they know ther shit, have good customer service any one interested look them up they also travel.

Love this build mate, you've done a great job. What size exhaust did you go? Any difference in power etc?

Went the 3inch red back extreme system, no noticible power increase but definitely breathes better, going to give her a good run today.

Awesome tray/canopy set up Jeff! In the process of getting a tray and camping box painted and noticed you have installed insulation to your canopy. How have you found it? Do you think it makes much of a difference to the heat inside the box? My box will be painted black so trying to think of options to hopefully keep the inside cooler so the fridge doesn't have to run all day to keep temperature. Where did you get the insulation from if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah the insulation does make a difference, I picked it up at Bunnings though the problem is it only comes in 30 metre rolls, I was lucky and used what was left over in a garden shed which also works well.

On a hot day I can touch the insulation without burning my hand where as the inside of the steel inside the canopy you cook an egg easy, so the barrier of insulation takes a fair bit of that heat away.

Cheers jeffro

Ah I see, valuable information will definitely be on the hunt for some now. Went to Bunning's this morning and of coarse they had no idea what I was talking about. What thickness foam are you running?
Cheers

The thickness of the insulation is 8mm, foil both sides, I doubled it up on the roof, door and rear of canopy, didn't bother with the front of it.

Cheers for the insulation information! A local store stocks sheets of the foam so I'll see how I go when I get the box and tray back from paint.
