Your 100% right there Bull they dont make it easy, I should have stuck with the last series cab

I really dont want to go a ladder style bar as they look crap, the bars will have windscreen braces and also a brace over the engine. The radiator will be up front.

I am thinking of just saying screw it and sacrifice the cab, run the a pillar braces through the rear wall and internally. Then possibly go back to the winch style roofrails, I just dont know but I am almost 1005 the one I did yesterday will come off as I am just not happy with it.

Well I have redone the side bars and have pretty much decided to run the A pillar and roof bars internally and exiting through the cab to join the B pillar hoop.

The only way to get an exo to look good imo would be to get a piece of tube rolled as the cab just has too many angles and it just cant be matched with a bender.

I will organise some 1.5" tube for the internal bars and probably fully weld out everything that is done so far before going any further.

Small update, the truck wont be at Tuff Truck unfortunately there is just too much to do and I dont wish to cut corners to meet a deadline. Going to spend a few weeks working on the house and getting the Playdo out on some trips, starting with Condamine Gorge this Sunday. SO wont be too many updates over coming weeks, but I will post up when work starts on it again. Will just keep doing small things on it so I dont get bored with it and change my mind again :?

:(

That sucks mate, but your right, better having a fully sorted rig ready than working your ass and pocket off just to be a spectator early in the comp.

I'll be at the Scenic Rim comp - King of the rim
See you there.

Are you still going to tuff truck?

Well a huge thanks to Matt from Monster Rides and Brendan from Ultimate as they got my supercharger up to me over the weekend. Thanks again guys I really appreciate it, I will need to have a good look at it as I may need to cut some of the inner guard out to get it on as its pretty damn large

Nothing has happened mate too busy and to be honest cant be bothered, I have no idea when or if it will ever be finished. Having too much fun away from the wheeling scene at present. :?

Dont hold your breath for it mate, at this stage the chance of it not getting built is greater than it ever getting finished. At least it makes the shed look used

Marshwa unfortunately family commitments and funds have seen it die, it has been parted out and sold. In the end I just couldnt justify the money required to build it the way I was happy with, over my family.

Everything I wanted sold has been and I have kept some of the good bits for a more family orientated build in the future, when time and funds permit. I do have a plan for a new build, but at this stage I am keeping it fairly quiet. I would say I will be social wheeling the Prado for at least another year if not two. :o

thats a shame mate, but very understandable. Does the person who bought the lux inted to continue the build? or was it bought basically for the goodies included?

Best of luck with everything, and can't wait to see what your come up with next, saw ur 40 on 4wd action, one hell of a project thats gonna be haha.

hmmm maybe we could see a coiled, choped prado in the future haha
