back up the farm for a couple of days, two tractors fixed, tree over boundary fence gone, fence fixed. new strainer post on internal fence (old one dug out) fence strained & gate hung. Only about 4 million things left to do.

Well done scratcha, your canopy has come up A1. Where's your farm? Sounds like there's plenty to keep you busy there but looks like some very nice scenery to enjoy whilst quenching your thirst and kicking back

Its been a while, I have fitted up a TJM winch bar, color coded to the canopy, still havent hung the roof console yet, IPF spotties (thanks for the help with the wiring) that was a bit o fun, wired up the the old way, test went like this......
Low beam, all good ;)
High beam, all good ;)
Switch on spotties, all good :)
dip head lights, spotties go off, head lights dip, all good :D
High beam, light up, spotties light up, all good. :D
switch off spotties, off all good......
So impressed with my handy work......then I turned off the head lights......

Spotties come on WTF?

Must have done something wrong?

Test again same way and again and again hahahaha

Then I searched here again. Like I said, thanks you lot, great help.

Have had the old girl pretty loaded with gear and the like, bum dragging a bit, lights too high etc, so like a tight arse, I did a mod.

Fitted a set of GQ rear coils over the bump stops on top of the rear spring pack, a bit of trimming and such of the coil, rides a bit harder, lifted it about 4 " from what it was., I'll post pics if anyone is interested.

Roof console is in, easy as pie to fit, fitted in my old UHF and an LED interior light, so bloody bright its like something out of close encounters of the third kind (UFO movie for the younger crowd) still need to fit map lights. when i find my camera, photos to come.

Hi Scratcha,

The canopy looks great.

Just a little hint. Mount the gas struts the opposite way around, i.e. with the cylinder to the top. Gas struts contain a little bit of oil which lubricates the seal. They will last a lot longer if mounted this way.

Cheers,

CJ
