Yeah awsome day! Not to upset about the cv's! Was just waiting for it to happen, now I can put some big boys in

No it was strange actually wheels where almost dead straight hardly no droop! Left wheel was off the ground spinning and the right wheel was just gripping that lil bit to much for the old cv

Hmm, VMN might have a solution for your boots. We've bought in some high clearance outer boots from the US and the first installation last week went OK so I better get them up on the VMN store...

Geez, I just remembered I have a set of genuine GHG boots sitting under my bench :o , Pretty hard to fill if you just wear slippers

Ooops back OT! Looks great Toddie!

nice pix todie...shame bout the cv......once you have done them they are really simple to replace.

Keep the old ones as spare when you get the new ones...with hand tools Ive replaced them within 20 minutes.....if you jack up the one side high enough you loose very minimal front diff fluid out of the front diff housing when pulling the shafts out so you wont have to carry a bottle of fluid around and a hand pump.

Re: TODDIE'S (UPDATE)

Postby toddie on Sat, 21 May 2011 8:27 +0000

Bit of an update fellas, its been a while, been a flat out few weeks

CV snapped as use all kno! i had a spare car to drive to work all last week, but unfortunatly i had to drive mine which i was silly enough to do so thinking it would be sweet, found out after the wheel came off on the way to work! Spewin
anyways shes all fixed now apart from the body work and flare, but thanks to matty from MR for saucing the gear i needed to fix the old girl! will get some photos up when i get my phone working again! ( itll make you wanna cry lol)

in all that drama, i managed to get the new adjustable shocks in, and uni joints for the UCA's
bit of a downer also while she was up on the hoist yesterday, i noticed that my diff is not sitting level at all infact it looks twisted all together! this may be why the CV snapped so easy in the first place or its just from the accident??

will try and get some pics up as soon as i can :D

hey toddie, sounds like your having a bit of a run of bad luck, spewin :( with the front diff mounts being twisted, your not the first one ive heard of after blowing a cv the diff mounts get bent. chances are it happened when the cv blew.
