Hey being an Auto Lux how are you finding the gearing with the 33's. Im running 265/70/17 (32's) and on freeway is ok but when i head up the Blue mountains up Lapstone Hill at the end of the freeway i feel the extra size and weight more so and wondered if i had gone to 33's how much worse it would have been.

Also going from 31's for everyday use to 32's for everyday use my fuel ecconnomy has gone up slightly, how much change have you noticed going to 33's

Have you done any downhills in low range first and how is the engine breaking as i know with my 32 muddies its a bit faster than i would like and the 33's would be worse than the 32's.

Ben, give me a couple of weeks and I will report back, have only had them on for 3 days.

First impressions are,

- They take longer to stop
- Take off from a standing start takes a little more right pedal
- Auto will not lock up till over 85km
- Speedo is now 3km too fast
- Fuel economy is better (if you can believe it) as I’m not driving fast anymore
- Yes up hills is a little more retarded but the chip helps out heaps here and a little more of a press of the loud pedal and away you go

I'll come back to you about wheeling and fuel economy

Thanks Mick.

Agree about stopping, take off, lock up, havent given it any thought, Got a marks Speedo adaptor so speedo for me is true. Fuel ecconomy cant relate, do drive less loud pedal, but does take more to get off the line. As for a Chip, dont have one of them..

the update in a few weeks would be great,

Thanks.

The pergola is why I had to settle for tyres on the 15" rims and not go with 17's, but yes it will be done this week. Deck is being layed today 8-)

Was out doing a bit of measuring today and have come up with the below:

Centre wheel to bottom of the flare: -

Front - 590mm
Rear - 630mm

Each side is within a couple of mm

Just over 3” on the front and almost 4” on the rear.
