Max,

Try this link. Will be limited to approx 15 stations for a while but once it takes off it will probably end up like the states with Sirius or X FM coming over. Actually, I think Sirius bought them out. When I was there last year I remember them talking about it.

Max,

What you have said above is true, but bloody boring. I have decided to stop stuffing around and put 33's on. Waiting to hear back from BFG to see whether or not I go skinny's or fats. I like the look of ECAZ's wheels but just not what you would use on a weekend or a trip up the top end etc.

I don't think I will have problems with the fatter wheels anyhow as she is getting her face and arse locked.

Thanks for putting up with my crap while I work out what wheels to run. Also, looks like I might be over your way soon, should organise a trip up the high country or something. Will just be my missus and I.

Well if you are going as well I had better make sure that all is done to the Hilux before I leave as I am now (as Max says) messing with the big boys.

Quinny, back to the topic of TV's, check this link out http://www.phoenixtelevision.com.au/index.php
They have Terestrial and Sattelite STB's including one that is a dual jobbie that is both a terrestial STB and a Satellite receiver in the one unit. Not sure if it is 12 volt though.

Sirius and XM are both supported by RoadRunner. Probably are OK with Centrafuse too. I think you need an AUX input on your soundcard for the audio signal whch might be a problem on a laptop Quinny, so an external sound car woud be the go.

Far few people are looking at the ute mart flares at present... thought I'd throw up a pic of mine after being used in anger with 33's.... Will get some more purpose taken shots shortly.

Image

Will have a better idea how much mud they throw over the rig once I get mudflaps and sliders made up...

Rodw also has some great shots of these flares in his build up.

These flares are easy to fit, can be ordered color coded and arrive very quickly from time of purchase.

I think $400 - $450 will get you a full set of 4 delivered...

Do your flares sit just under your snorkel? Ive got the FRP (Fibreglass Replacement Panels) flares on my SR single cab, the rubber from it touches the snorkel. When you look at SR5's with the safari snorkel, theres a distinctive gap
Cheers,
Luke

08/05 SR single cab, heavy duty steel tray, steel canopy with vinyl sides and mozzie net, Dobinsons 2in lift, ECB big tube alloy bar, Nitestalker 100w spotlights, 55w under tray reverse spotlights, 31x10.5 Maxxis Bighorns on 15x7 Sunraysias

Mine are the same....the rubber touches the flare...they are slightly taller and slightly wider and Ive had problems with mine fitting for ages - juts kept playing with them on and off till I got them as good as can be.....next time they stuff up or rip off its gonna be either rubber flexi flares or custom tube flares if the hilux can handle them....

Is there anyone that makes an exact replica of the SR5 flares, seeing as they are slightly shorter. Allows for a bit of movement in the flare over corrugations

How great would it be if they made fibreglass fenders like they do for the taco's in the states?

heaps more room inside the guards, no flares needed and would cover 305's easily with a stock look.....
