Well we are close to the magic 3k members.

This is all a credit to Dave and all of the other members that continuously frequent the site. It has been a great ride from member 181 to this point, with many enjoyable Trips, Chats and forum topics along the way. Many good friends made along the way with many more to come.

Keep it up and enjoy the ride.

Cheers,
Cam and Family

Ps, Thanks for the good times and the good times to come.

Since the subject has been raised about membership of the site/group i'd like to second the thoughts of cameron.
i've met some great people/friends on trips and on general disscusion threads as well as the chat night.
I sincerely hope it continues as such because it( site) is a great source of imformation and laughs

Max and Brendon, I'm dissappointed with you guys, you are falling behind. Brendon you got 2265 posts under your belt and Mmaaxx is a nose ahead at 2273.

I would have thought you guys should at least have one post up per member at all times, but I see the newbies are overtaking you guys!

Myself, Skog07 and Doug67 are putting up a valliant effort and have cracked the 1000 mark, and I see Dave has taken a step back at a tally of 854 and is leaving it to you guys to wear out the keyboards (which.I.seem.to.remember.happened.to.Max.a.while.ago)

Great to see, the forum growing and the quality of information improving all the time and our members are becoming more adventurous with modifying their New Hilux!

X 3. Totally agree.

Where this site differs to others is that the members are here to share their knowledge and experiences in a light hearted way without the one upmanship and competitiveness that exists elsewhere.

Congratulation to Dave and the moderators to have developed such a wonderful site

Hear Hear!!!

With the nearly 3000 members I reckon we QLDers can do better than just getting the usual 10 odd fellas to come on the SE Qld trips. It would be great to get some new faces to come along.

And no you don't need a fully modded Hilux to participate!! I've been going on the local trips (with a stock Hilux) and have enjoyed the fact that I was never under any pressure to do what I didn't want to do. The best thing about us all having the $50k + machines is that no one is interested in damaging them on these trips as you would if you had a $5k bush- basher.

Personally, I just enjoy sitting around the fire at night talking over beers without having to talk shop as I would if I had a BBQ at home!!

The next local trip is at Landcruiser Mountain Park on the first weekend ofJuly (check out the thread on the 'Upcoming Trips' section).

As a side note- I'm in the process of cranking up a Coffs Harbour meet up on the first weekend of October so keep that weekend free for all you East Coasters! Last yr was a great trip- check out the thread in 'Past Trips'.

So come on you SE Qlders and committ yourself to a trip- I reckon you'd enjoy it. Even Ken (Oldrev) comes all the way from Yamba for these trips.

3000 members- good stuff!! Lets hope it won't be long til there's 4000!!

I agree 100% x 5000
Reckon the greatest thing about this site is its members. (the moderators are members too remember. ;) )
Yep. the information and the technical stuff is really great, helpful and sometimes really... really... expensive. :o
But by far from what I have got from this site it is getting out there enjoying your hobby and making new friends. Finding new tracks and a new campsite.
Ive lost track of post count????
Quinny think your the born again type I seem to remember you as jeffquinn??
Do you know theres a bloke on Triton called Quinny67??? from Qld though.. Hopefully not related???
So anyway like Broke said, jump on forum trip and enjoy the company.
Cheers

Mate, I didnt even realise I passed Brendan :o  just goes to show how much crap Ive been spinning on here......

Like someone else said, the light hearted humour in amongst the posts is great, entertaining and fun. I know of a few forums where they give newbies a ribbing, whereas we welcome them with guidance and show them the right path to take their hilux down..... whatever, its late, Im tired, had a few......spin some more crap hilux related tomorrow

The other great thing about this site is that its not just 1 or 2 people who are contributing its a LOT of people..

A lot of other sites rely on 1 or 2 members to keep the site going.. here its different

Skog07, Yeah mate... I was jeffquinn so my post count etc was reset...

My old posts come up under other users so I cant even find what I've said in the past but its no biggy...

Not sure about the Quinny67... but I have Quinny23 on all 3 sites so Im happy now... no more being reborn.. :D

I think one day one or more of the moderators will have to spend some significant time reorginising the threads and creating a few more stickys for the newbies to find easily. There has been a significant amount of people being told to use the search as they find it dificult to find stuff first of... I was the same when I joing the LS1 holden forum... its so big that nearly all questions have been answered you just had to find them... this site is still in the fun stage of coming up with new ideas etc.

All in all I love... like a daily drug to take me away from work..

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

I wish it was true...... well the fact that it is a toyota site is true......

Yep, Im working on an undergorund program designing the enxt Hot Hilux from Toyota that will be offroad capable......bolt in live front axle conversion, not cutting necessary, bolt off guard mods to help you run 35 inch tyres......bolt on extra 200nM of torque and a few tweaks to enable you to run 35's and still get 8 litre per 100km......but, SHHHH! thats our secret ok....?????
