40000 ks service

toyota rekon about 520$ to do the service.2008diesel 4x4.sounds abit dear.what do you guys rekon?the woman on the front desk said"they even change the diff oil and its a full by the book service".hope i get more than bloody diff oil!told her also the blue tooth is crap.they will order in a new one.apparently they are made by fujitsu and are having a bit of trouble with them.

That sounds a bit harsh... Glad I went for the advantage package, guaranteed $150 services til 60,000km

Infact I just looked at the log book, and I cant believe I pay them $150 for what is listed in your 10k,20k,30k services. FFS they only replace the airfilter every 20,000km, and oil and filter every 10,000km....

I dont know about the diesel services but with the V6 petrols every 40 000 is a major service. I just had my 80 000 and they replace spark plugs, change brake fluid, front and rear diff oil, fuel filter, air filter, engine oil and filter then all the standard checks as well. Cost $560 but nearly half that was labour.

40k service should be valve clearance check also, maybe thats why its so expensive

valve clearance was only 'checked' if it needed adjustmaent that would cost extra.total cost of service 454.95$Head unit changed also under waranty because of poor reception and bluetooth being non existant.I still have the same issues with thenew head unit.toyota say all they can do is put pressure on fujitsu who make them.but nothing is really happening.pretty sad when you spend $50,000-60,000.who was it on here that could get pioneer 6150bt for $300?
