200K service

Postby white_hilux on Wed, 18 Aug 2010 9:25 +0000

Hi all,

Unfortunately I'm a few months away from my 200,000Km service. It looks like a big one. Has anyone done one yet and if so where did you go and how much did it cost. I will probably go to toyota as usual to do it. Does anyone know of somewhere east of brisbane who could do it cheaper than toyota?

I'm kinda guessing that it would be a similar price to the 100,000Km service but unfortunatly I didn't own the car then so I have no idea how much it could be.

any help would be fantastic

200 k service for a deisel is usual oil and filter, drive shaft grease, front and rear diff oil, replace brake fluid and usual check/report over operations of complete vehicle

it is not a big service(providing everything is up to scratch and does not need any extras outside the service schedule, times guide suggests 1.5 hours to complete

Thanks bansheebuzz, so with a basic service it shouldn't cost no more than $200 one would think.

Hey guys. Well I got my truck serviced yesterday and it went well. not a problem with the car at all. I got it all done at repco and cost $450. Normally i would do it my self but the extra insurance I got when I bought the car states that I must get it serviced by a professional. Cant wait to finally be able to do it myself. It will be so much cheaper.

As Bansheebuzz said the service covered changing the engine oil and filter, replace brake fluid, replace front and rear diff oil, gearbox oil and just the usual checks etc. Repco even chucked in a free air filter and new windscreen wiper blades. Very pleased.
