Warranty or maintenance??

Postby dansha654 on Thu, 29 Oct 2009 8:17 +0000

I have a 08 dual cab lux with an ARB bar on the front, as some of you may have noticed with your own, they run a little down hill after the suspension had bedded in (has with mine and the father in laws with no bar fitted). As i salary sacrifice, technically a lift kit will be a modification therefore not covered under this scheme and although i havent spoke with toyota, i am sure they will not come to the party and cough up for a warranty jobby.
Does anyone know of a solution to the problem and the true meaning of maintenance when it come to vehicles?

Cheers Dan

Instead of a liftkit you could just try a heavier rate coil. Coil springs are cheap.

Just put a lift kit in and dont tell them....then on the receipt you write down that it was a suspension replacement due to worn suspension.

If its a replacement your covered, as long as on paper it says its a repair not a mod your fine! :D
