SNAKE OIL!!!

I havent heard of a single fuel catalyst that actually works other than what the sellers advertise on their brochures and their "controlled conditions".......

you want power?

chip, exhaust, bigger intercooler etc etc etc

what are you after?

Mmaaxx - A wee bit more power...a lot more fuel economy...and hopefully while at it....more durability for this Lux engine. Not a BIG ask is it?

How much more durability and economy do you want from a diesel hilux?

They are awesome in standard form as they are.

your not gonna get power without sacrificing some economy. diesels by their design work by giving you more power the more fuel you shove into them.

If you want alot more fuel economy get a hybrid. and even then they are not that far off a hilux.

 - I sure am learning a lot off this site...esp. from good ol Maaxx! ...OK...I'll list what I intend on sorting out ASAP...and Maaaxxx you give me 100 bucks worth of your 2 cents vault.

Taipan XP 3" exhaust
K&N Air Filter E-2296
2 x Hiclones
Steinbauer Chip

I have decided to scrap the Fitch inline fuel Catalyst as the New Lux members have persuaded me to believe them.

If you want opinions,

Don't get a K&N filter or the hiclones. Get a snorkel instead, you may actually get some use out of it.

Hiclones will do pretty much nothing to your engine. They are great on carburetted engines but the change in air current wont even reach the combustion chamber in an inter-cooled engine. And as mmaaxx mentioned earlier (I think) the toyota panel filters are quite good and the benefits of a K&N filter(minimal) are far out-weighed by the risks. Not to mention the hassle of cleaning/oiling a K&N are just a pain in the ass.
