is the uca hitting the spring or the strut??? the only way to eliminate this is aftermarket UCA's or spinning the spring around so it misses on full droop.

Or fitting extended ball joints to raise the factory UCA up and away from the coils....

This happened to me as well. Took it back to Climax suspension, and the fix was to turn the spring around 180degrees. The control arm now falls between the coils.

Hi, I do have the same cal suspension kit for my 2006 hilux purchased and installed 2010. I've been having ride issues with it, BUMPY RIDE. Here's my set up:

tires: Nitto trail grappler LT 295/55 R20 weighs 76 lbs
wheels: Fuel Gauge 20x9 weighs 45 lbs
Lift: Cal 3" suspension kit has an adjustable flange (where the coil spring sits) on its strut, I have placed this flange on the upper part to give me a higher lift.

It seems I'm the only one having this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I run 265/75's on my Tough Dog/Bilstein lift (with front struts from Cal Offroad).

See my shed for more info. Time will tell on whether she excessively sags or not, but for the time being, very happy!

Hi All,

Very recent new Hilux owner, first mod I'm considering is a lift kit, who has pictures off hiluxs with just a 2" kit and just a 3" kit?

Looking to compare looks without a body lift. Do you know which members cars I could see?

Thank you in advance.

guys, please consider talking to professionals, especially if yours is a recent vehicle

I had one of the forum sponsors fit a proper 2" lift to my vehicle. The cost of install was very reasonable and it was all done on the same day.

And most importantly, everything is legal, causing no issues with authorities or my insurance.

Remember Pack, increasing your tyre size to 32" affects your overall lift as well.
