My new suspension ?

Postby Tunnel Rat on Thu, 29 Nov 2007 8:24 +0000

I just ordered all my suspension parts today and will fit them on Monday if all goes well.
Bilstein all round with the OME kit OME883 front springs(upto 70kg) & medium rear leaf springs greasable shackles.
The only think I am not sure of is the front springs maybe I should of gone for the 70kg-120kg ones or the king KTFR-101HD ?
I have the ARB Sahara bar NO winch but will be doing a dual battery set up soon.I do not carry much gear when camping. Most of the time the rear will be empty.
So what do you guys think ?

thx

I got the king HD's for mine - ARB delux winch bar and dual batt. Set up works well for me, not too firm at all.
I think (Brendan would know better) that kings recommend the HD for a steel bar up front.

If you've got a dual battery system up front and a winch, then the KTFR-101HD would be ideal since it's rated at 800 lbs/inch.

With a steel bar only, the KTFR-101 are good enough for me with a rating of 660 lbs/inch.

My humble 2 cents.

I love it when we all get the required information from this site. Good real experiences and not crap from the sales person's mouth.

Cheers guys.
