Tyre repair kits

If this topic has been covered previously, I apologise. Couldn't get a hit on the site's search option.

Has anyone purchased one?

If so are they worth it?

I am looking at getting a standard kit that repairs punctures to the tread/mesh area - say a nail etc.

Any advice?

I have an ARB kit that I received when I subscribed to 4wd Monthly looks a good kit.
Haven't used it yet and have been told that they are only good for quick fix not permanent tyre still needs to have a tube fitted.
But I think they are worth it.
I don't think I have helped you as I haven't used it yet.
There are kits on Ebay that look the same as the ARB kit

I've always used the plugs. Quick and easy, you do't even need to take the wheel off. I bought the ARB kit too. Good quality reamer and insertion tool with heaps of plugs.

Tyre repair kits

I have a bushranger kit and have used it three times. Its an excellent way to get yourself going quickly but the tyres should still be repaired by an expert when you get back to civilisation.

Having said that fixed a tyre on mine that had a bolt though it and forgot about the repair for 12 months!!
I have nothing good to say down here so I wont say anything at all
