G'day all,

I have just purchased a new D4D and am going through my options in regards to tyres. Mind you the hilux will get a 2" Ironman lift kit.

One of those options is to get the new ROH RTX in 15x7 and to run 32/11.5x15 Maxxis Bighorn's which I have my heart set on at the moment.

May I ask all of you that are running 32/11.5x15's on the SR5 15x7" rim how do you go in regards to scrubbing?

Im assuming you removed the mudflap and possibly trimmed some inner guard plastic for the width of the tyre, and also, does it come close and/or actually touch the upper control arm or not?

Any pics or advice on mods before fitting this tyre other than suspension would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks 8-)

Does anybody know if a 33/10.5x15 tyre on a 15x7 rim and 2" lift would fit with minor guard trimming?

Ironman I think isn't bad value for money. Ive had ironman shocks on a previous hilux and thought they were good.

why 15" rim? just going through some options to see what would work best. got no problem with 16" rim and 265's but just want to see what others are using and what works.

Yeah, just bought her yesterday, and hopefully by end of next week will pick her up and then the fun part starts!!!!

by the way Doug, did you have to get her luxi engineered for the 3" lift and 285's?
Just wondering as a bloke from Climax called me up the other day after an email enquiry and said some blokes have been shafted with their 3" lifts as no engineers want to engineer them, atleast in victoria they dont want to.

Have not been near an engineer yet, other than asking about a body lift which they don't want to know about. I need to fix something before I do, not in a hurry. I think I'll end up ok when I do, she's really only a 1" lift, I have truely, honest.

mmaaxx I fitted 16x8 RTX with 265/75R16 cooper ST and have heard them rub once, lift is a little over 50mm, Beware of front stud length when using the RTX, mine were only long enough for 5 turns of the wheel nuts the rear had 10 turns so i had them replaced, safer than sorrier Macca
