Mate they would have to be louder on tread pattern style alone. I have no experience with them but I went from an AT to a Mickey Thompson muddy and they were noisier but happy to put up with it and will get them again, I have read that the KM2's are noisier than the Mickies but ????

I've got 265/75/16 KM2's and I don't find them too noisy, I had Goodyear Wrangler AT's on before these.

I have managed 60k out of my AT's and reckon I will get at least another 20K. I am more concerned about extra noise. Might drown out the D4D a bit more!

A mate has 32" KM2s on his dual cab with a 2" lift, I got a ride with him down to near Batlow for a hunt and they weren't as noisy as what they look like the'll be.
Cheers,
Lee.

i been running km2 for a while not a 100% on the kms but it would be around 14000kms i just did a cape trip that was 8000kms the rest is mostly offroad k's with a lot of rock and there down to the sipping on the outer edge. if u want one of the best radial mud tyres on the market these would be my pick also think about it u buy mud tyres for there offroad advantages and soft tyres grip and hard tyres dont

Slight thread hijack....does anyone know of any stockist in melbourne or geelong that are holding any
33 x 10.5 x R15's....been calling around the werribee area with no luck...was told at least a 3 month wait!
Could be case of changing my tyre/rim preference at this rate!

As far as I know KM2 actually had 2 compounds, the first batch were real soft and wore out quick, the new ones are harder and should get good km's out of them

nope.. according to BF Goodrich there is only 1 and has only ever been 1 compound available... whether that is a 'revised' edition is unknown as they will not ever admit there are/were problems with their flagship mud tire...

fair enough, though I am fairly certain there was initially a softer tyre. Having known people who got some of the very first lot that didnt last at all and then a new set on the same car lasting so much longer

I think the confusion lies in whether we are talking about the KM2 or the BFG Crawler.....

the Crawler being a comp tyre comps in different version I beleive.....i.e. red label, black label or something along those lines, not sure exactly but they have different compounds for different purposes.

I put a set of 31" KM2's on in April, 7000km so far, about 2000km on the dirt,
new 15.03mm, now 13.82mm. and the performance is outstanding, I will get these again next time.
a little louder then a road tyres but very quite for a muddie. And there a lot better on road then the old bfg muddies.

There getting low mate.
I didnt realise how low they were till i saw brand new mt muddies

But they dont need to be changed just yet.
Still go anywhere off road fine

And if your not actually going proper 4x4ing just driving sand tracks and dunes i dont even have to let thwm down
They buldge out a lot on 38psi

In regards to the noise if youre not listening to music its quite loud but with music you cant even notice it.
Cheers Seb.
