What do you mean? I am happy with the wheels mine came with  Would have been better if they finished the rest of it though

Hi guys new to both the forum and the world of owning a hliux. I have a dual cab 06 SR which I have fitted a 3 inch lift to. It looks a little silly with the factory steel 16inch rims and 245 profile tyres. Looking at the above posts it seems that 265/75/16 is a pretty good compromise. I was thinking of getting that profile in either BFG A/T or Mickey Thompson Bajas with 5 spoke alloys. What do you guys think? Any advice gratefully accepted!!

Just fitted 16" wheels w/ pirelli Scorpion ATR, 265/75 R16 offset 0...
No Lift at all at the moment.. Remove front mudflap, cut a bit of the front bumper n pull the plastick behind the bumper back.
Now, no rubs at all.. Easy fit n flush well w/ the fender.. But regretted not going bigger tyres coz now I gonna plan to have 2'' suspension lift..

you would have had big headaches with a bigger tyre and only 2 inch suspension lift.

I've got 2-3" inch lift. 265/75/16 M/T MTZ on 16 x 7 p20 CSA Magnums (they're 5 spoke). Got wheel alignment done. No cutting guards, mudflaps, etc....... Never rubbed :D Check my shed for pretty pictures.

Cheers

I'll post some pics soon..to prove that 265/75/16 w/ no lift is an easy fit.
No more doubt for those wanna go for that set up.
I"ve been reading n researching a lot here till I decided on my current setup.
Hope it helps.

Note: requires a bit of cutting n grinding.

just took off my 265/75/16 goodyear wranglers, to swap to another size (bigger) they will fit with no lift mate, dont stress, chuck em on and throw the lift on when you get the coin. my 2 cents...

I need some clarification on a few things regarding 265/75/16 tyres as i want to fit these BFG muddies KM2 with ROH rtx or tojan rims. Still undecided and want to do this right the first time.

1 - Rim width... 7 or 8 inch? Some people use 8 some others 7. Whats the pros and cons if any?

2 - Offsets for 7 and 8 inch rims? Whats the range to ensure no rubbing on full lock and suspension compression?

3 - These tyres fit without a lift, however if 4wding it looks to me that they will definately rub under full compression up front, am i right?

I run this size with 7" rims and 20 positive offset. Stick to 7" to keep the wheels in under the wheel arch. Dunno about without a lift though as I fitted mine after lifting...
