I know i will have to trim the body mount & the like (i have been told it will not work).

Just a point you should know is the load rating of that size tyre is less than what the Hilux legally requires.

Also another thing you should know is alot of 15x8 rims don't fit the Hilux due to the rim face rubbing on the brake caliper. The 15x8s in 0 offset I have clear the calipers, so It may pay to check that first.

I have 15x7 at the moment with a P13 offset and have no issues. Why would this be a concern with 15x8s?

It's the way the rim face is, alot of the 15x8 rims don't have a "J" style face there for interfere with the caliper. Have a search for 15x8 that fit.

If ya have a search in alot of other 15x8 threads you will see alot of members are having the clearance problems I'm describing. You may be lucky and your rims might fit no worries so it might pay to trial fit them before spending the cash on the rubber to suit ;)

Superiors Kit is 4" with coilovers only.

I'd suggest you have a look at one fitted to a vehicle......at 4" the cv angles are pretty severe with out proper rectifying.

The diff drop spacers they provide only lowers the front diff mounts by an inch not the rear diff mount. This is effect rolls the front diff forwards. Because of the position of the front diff mount and the location of the diff, you are really only getting at best half an inch reprieve on cv angles at the sacrifice of 1" of clearance.

Ahh ok, yeah i can see what your saying, makes sense! Are there not any bigger diff drop spacers to use if you want to lift 4', or higher? (Superior also offer 5' lift for current model hilux)

I should probably just talk to them first before making decisions, i was just goin off the what the website said..

^ maybe im reading it wrong? Theres a picture of a current model hilux with (what would appear to be) the 4' lift they are advertising, theres also a picture of what the kit contains - which includes the new rear leaf springs and front coilovers?
Cheers

hey fellas,

During my research i found that there are alot of people out there that dont know as much as they think they do and most of them really should in the positions they are in. a wheel manufacturer that wouldnt even do a test fit because there was no way those wheels would possibly fit, but my ute is sitting on them now with no problems at all. i say get a 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinion before comitting your cash to something especially if its not what you originally wanted. where theres a will theres a way but you get what you pay for.

Ok fellas, been doing a lot of reading(loving this forum).I am keen on running 15x8 steel rims. I have got that sushed. My next question is sum of you are running 32x15x11.5,yes?I have been told yet again by the tyre d**ks that they are not the correct rating for the truck but on forum it is ok and some of you guys are running the bfg 33x15x10.5.Are these ok with tyre rating? If not, what is?The truck is being built more for touring.

Mate it is load speed rating that is the issue with the 15"s, that’s why most blokes go to 16's or higher as the tyres in this size are either right on load speed rating or over what is specified from factory.

I run a 31/10.5x15 and these are under spec, they are a 109 R, as our rigs spec is 110/112 S.

The choice is yours mate, allot of mod’s we run are illegal, for example the minimum 3” lift you will be running and the body mount chop you will have to do to get the 33/12.5x15 to work.

snow,

33/10.5 will work on standard sr5 rims and 2" + lift with more than likely mudflap removal.

its the easiest 33 to fit.

I've got a question though it may be stupid and I'm sure I already know the answer but no harm in asking. I have my mind set to some infinity sunraisers in a 15x8 0 offset with 33 tyres. Is there any issues with getting let's say a positive 10 offset for the rear and 0 offset rims for the front? Just want the wider stance in the ass end. I'm gonna get some rubber to add to the standard flares so the boys in blue don't get to cranky.
cheers
