couldn't find any pics and I tried to draw something on Microsoft paint but my artistic ability is pathetic. haha

Haha mate none of us excel at paint, keen to see it none the less. The 4x4 action mag had like a charcoal 70 series with beadlocks with a sick tray design and the dual spares on each side of the roll bars.

Haha an excuse for backing into trees would be nice...  back by feel! haha yet another reason im glad ive got no tub haha

sorta like that (excuse my poor drawing) and he just bolted his tyres to the outside of the middle cross beam and had room in the middle for one of those space saver things or he could even fit the front wheel of his dirtbike in there to tie it down. hope that makes sense haha

PS. I had to borrow your car for a little. hope you don't mind. haha

Ah yeah, not bad at all,
I was thinking along the lines of
Image

With the circle being an old wheel hub or similar to bolt to,and have the rails bolted onto the roll bars so if i need to load the tray up i can remove it.

What i should have done was:
Image

Now that is the pinacle of poor paint work haha but ya get the idea haha, rails traight down, black tires mounted on the out side, make sure i left enough room for a quad bike in the middle haha

yeah that first one would take up a lot of room I'd imagine. especially having it right in the middle of the tray but having it removable would make it better. the only thing is that if you went away and had it on the back and needed to load it up with wood for a fire or something, it restricts how long and how much wood you can carry by a lot id think.

the second picture would be ideal! would look awesome too but is a lot of work to move those bars.

Yeah getting them bars right is a b@tch, would be easy enough if i run them straight. But then i need to cut more holes in the checker plate top to put a real mount under it.

Mmm dunno, dad made the tray for me and i dont think he'd be that keen to help me mod it haha

I cant shorten it in future if i do that either, well not easily.

Would probably want a second head board bar spaced about a ft away from tbefirst one to fit engel or something too.

Thats the one mate! 8-)

wish id seen it before had mine built, great design in my opinion, looks a little funny in the rear with the draw and that big flat panel, but yeah, that'd be awesome! Wonder if he'd fit a quad bike between them bars...

33" Id say....even that was tight between the rear shackles and the exhaust.

And back on topic, this is how you guard chop for 35's and keep her low -

Wakil why not raise the tray to fit the tyres lying down and have a trap door them?

I have been tossing up this idea, haven't measured it yet, but I reckon that my under tray crossmembers are too close as well...
Would be the go though...

Haha like to see what flares he's doing, modding mine to fit after the cutting was a bit of a gutsake

Edit: just had a better look at pic, similar flares to me, my bad

Could you turn the rear cross member upside down? So it creates more room?... Throwing ideas out there.

Guess tray length would come into it

I'm afraid you've lost me there? The main steel beams run parallel to the chassis, and I think they may run still too close together to play the game.

Yeah, would like to have that kinda set up though, easier to lock it up too, it's only on a steelie, but the tire is
Worth a mint, haha and ya just can't trust them patrol drivers

Its a prado rear diff with a custom 4 link.

Front end is getting a big drop crossmember kit and he will be running 37's.

Same bloke was at Tuff truck 2 years ago with a hilux on 40" tyres, had a 4"drop crossmember kit and 2" bodylift.
