Maybe because- Once the hooks are removed there is very little holding the seat back in position. If you have a child restraint that goes over the top of the seat back & down to the anchor point on the floor, I think it would be possible for a sudden/severe stop or impact to cause the seat back to collapse forward. As is stated in a previous post, if you are going to combine the mod with a restraint, it may be advisable to factor in some sort of catch chain. Maybe a couple of chain links with a rated shackle to make it quick to undo. My youngest is almost 22 & I took the back seat out to fit my fridge in so it is not an issue for me. Attach the chain to the seat back & use the shackle to hook up to the loop that the guide runs on.
