ive made mine out of an old keg. i cut it in half and made it so it had a lid on it as well (to keep the heat in obviously). It works really well, even tho it is a bit on the small side. But usually it is only me and the missus that go camping, so it does the job.

Cheers

Just two that I found out by fluke.
The diff breather hose fits into your airchuck and you can inflate an air bed with your compressor.

And a soft drink bottle cap fits over the end of the quick connect coupling on your compressor to keep the crap out of the fitting.

Its easily replaced as generally there is a empty softdrink bottle floating around somewhere.

You could drill a hole in the plug 8mm and cut and old shrader of an old tube and fit it into the hole with a seal and instal the shrader into it.
It another one in the pipeline. lol

Hi Guys

Any of my inventions or ideas will turn up on my Rod's New Rig thread. So far:
1. Power distribution for dual batteries
2. CB mount beside factory radio.
3. Diff Breathers on the cheap
4. Tail gate dust seal
5. Tie down install
6. Aux power points in cab
7. Storage rack
8. Shovel Mount

Few more to come, but saving up for sliders

drew i went to an air tool joint here in canberra and got a slinky style air hose made up, this way i can put whatever attachment i want on the end of it i want, this way i can use an air blower to pump up my air mattress using the smaller air inlet, to easy, also the new hoes takes up stuff all room when not in use, reaches the trailer wheels, and doesn't have any of the problems the arb one has as far as letting go when it gets hot, theres a picture of the hose being used on my profile so you can see the one i mean, let me know if you need a closer pic of the air blower if you don't know the type i'm talking about. cheers shane

Thanks Shane
Bought the connector and found place to buy tyre connector, better than Arb supplied.

What are you guys using for precise air pressure measurement??

Cheers Drew

Here is a photo of my new tyre inflator. It has a guage on it now so the guess work has gone on how full the tyre is and a valve so when I fit the tank I will be able to shut it off and not loose pressure through free flowing out the end of the hose. I paid $110 for it from RLM Distributing from Qld. It came with the Silver quick connect coupling male and female as well. and included freight from Qld. It is so much better than the Tyre inflation kit from Arb. I still retained the hose though but put proper hose clamps on it because the compressor was heating up the hose and the crimp lock fitting was blowing off all the time.

I did have another idea of fitting on of those Boss alloy tanks hanging from the roof of the canopy right up the front and having connectors on each side so it is just a matter of opening the window plugging the hose into either side of the tank.
Just an idea, have to get the canopy soon.
Cheers

Skog, Maybe if you got a hinged flap water tank filler (from Camec), you could put a flap on the outside of your canopy, lift it up and hey presto, you have air!

I think you are getting the same canopy as i have from memory, so the corner pillars are hollow, so you might be able to mount the tank on the side vertically where the fittings would be concealed from the outside. There is also quite a lip over the tub at the front, so it might be wide enough to mount the tank under the front window without getting in the road as objects rest on the lip. Or mount a flat cross bar onto the bolts that hold the roof rack bars to the roof and put your fittings into that, no holes either.

The good thing about that one is it will get in the way and you won't be able to load washing machines in when you are asked to help somebody to move ;) Some of them are heavy I found!
