Headlight adjustment

Something to think about if in Qld. Below is an extract from Q Transport Legislation.

"Fog lights must be capable of being switched on and off
independently of any headlights but must only be able
to be switched on when the parking lights are on. Fog
lights must not be used except in fog or mist or under
other atmospheric conditions which restrict visibility."

I only show this as a mate got booked for it during the day so we looked it up. What a joke.

i have never had a hassle with the police about using my fog lights
i have had plenty of people flash me cause they think i have high beam on.....so i show them that my high beam includes 2 hella rallye 4000 pencil beams
i did adjust my lights down a touch because they were blinding people when i drove up behind them

Has anyone adjusted their headlights down. I had new springs put in the other day and I think I am going to have to move them down as the front of the car is about 3" higher than before.

I took a couple of pics but I cant get them of the camera onto my computer. I have No idea how to do this but I am working on it.Ill have to wait till the Mrs gets home I think. I did search and found that thread but it doesnt tell me much

The car is more level on the road now. Thus the headlights are pointing up a fair bit

tonym, are they bilsteins and king springs in the front?

They are Bilsteins and Ironman springs. Very good on the road and ride good also.

tonym, which ring did you have the circlip, on the front shocks?

I had 2 extra rings machined on the shockie and the circlip is on the 3rd from the bottom. Is it easy to change the position of the circlip?

i recon thats where im gonna get mine from im speaking to a guy called dino they quoted me $1795 delivered seems like a good kit. is yours 3"on the front and 2"on the rear do ya have any mesurements?

I dont have any measurments, It looks about 3" in the front and 2 in the back though. I wasnt really after lift so much as good ride. It certainly rides a lot better. That price is the same as I paid.

I adjusted my headlights downwards a few weeks ago since they were too high and I was annoying lots of people especially those saloons at traffic lights when I am behind them!

It was a piece of cake to adjust.

The instructions are as follows:

Adjust the vertical headlight aim into the specified range by turning aiming screw (LOWER) with a screwdriver.

HINT:

1. Perform lo beam aim adjustment.
2. The headlight aim moves down when turning the aiming screw clockwise, and moves up when turning the aiming screw counterclockwise.
3. Adjust the aim vertically by turning the vertical aiming screw and the horizontal aiming screw at a 5:4 ratio (5 turns of the vertical aiming screw for 4 turns of the horizontal aiming screw).

NOTICE:

If the screw is tightened too much, loosen it and then retighten it so that the final turn of the screw is in the clockwise direction.
