Diff Swaping my workmate open diffs for a stock LSD from SR

Postby Nevermind on Tue, 26 Dec 2023 11:18 +0000

As subject matter describes, I have a 2018 4x4 WM Hilux (open rear diffs) I saw a SR axle on sale on FB market place for $500 AUD and was wondering if anyone had any experience swapping it in? This is cheaper and i assume easier than buying an aftermarket and then dissembling the whole diff housing and tinkering with the back lash.

Has anyone attempted this or knows the hurdles that will come with it i.e. wiring harness or ECU needs to be reflashed?

What do you think the lsd is going to do for you? Waste of time is my thoughts a toyota lsd doesn't do much.
Get a locker if you want traction when one wheel is spinning doing nothing a lsd doesn't help

as above, the Toyota LSD is useless. Lots of options to solve traction issues, but the factory LSD is not one
