Hi, just had my clutch done today at 17,000. thrust bearing was squeky even with little or no contact. bearing was very dry on inspection, had not seized yet looked and moved ok unharmed.i had a new plate, fork(very slight angle difference) and bearing done. Happy with the work so far but still only early days. I thought the new one feels lighter, still i thought i'd share my experence with others

Mine crutch get changed next week after 83000k's. My dealer is trying to get the HD clutch straight off without going down the "only after the second one goes" policy.
Is it wrong to love your truck this much?

Guys
my lux is getting a third clutch in two weeks time,35,000k's old
The deal is Toyota or OEM clutch suppliers were experimenting with compounds for the friction plate which is a major reason the clutches are slipping and shuddering, as they can no longer use asbestos , ASBESTOS is the reason why old Toyo and the like got long years out of their clutches and it also bears issue to bad braking on the hiluxs i reckon. So i have been told that mine is an new version unit being sent out of Melbourne in the next week.
time will tell
