2.7 petrol power ups?

Hi guys, I doubt I'll be able to find any info on these motors anywhere but I was hoping someone here could help
I have a current model hiace with the same 2.7 as the hilux and was wondering if anyone knew of or has done themselves any mods to squeeze a bit more power out of them, not looking to turn it into a speed machine but a few more kw to help going up hills would be nice

Stu, I reckon a decent exhaust system would open up their torque curve, and maybe a set of cams....depending how crzy you want to get, and then maybe a chip?

Id go a custom exhaust first, and a cold air intake.

maybe some GT stripes for good measure, I heard they add a few kilowasps....paint it ferrari red, then the wheels wont stop spinnin....LMAO

yeah I've spoken to a couple of exhaust places and they said they'd call me back, over a month ago. I don't think anyone wants to touch it. I also spoke to another company about a turbo about 6 months ago and they never called back either I think you may be onto something with the gt stripes though, better check ebay

do you know of anyone that does petrol chips?

I was also thinking about getting some of those fancy wheels that keep spinning when you pull up at the lights... or maybe just some sr5 rims if they come up at the right price

Ring Humex exhaust, they are in Albury...I got my 3" straight through system from them....great service, good product and overnight freight!

spoke to capa they didn't want to touch it and gave me the number of the turbo place already mentioned, have been looking around at some kits but I don't have the know-how to do it myself and finding a shop that will is do it is proving to be a challenge
