OK, got the 'lux back on Friday good as new. Well, there was some damage in there alright. 7 of the 10 crown wheel bolts had come out and been completely munched, the three that were still in wewre loose. There is a plastic cradle inside the locker part that was melted, and the 20mm high tensile locking pin was snapped in half. So, a complete rebuild was needed. New crown wheel, pinion and numerous parts to rebuild the locker. The diff housing was repaired and looks just like new, however the hole shows just how thin the pumpkin of the housing is, wouldn't be more than 1.2mm steel. I will be strengthening that some time in the future.

Parts alone came to just shy of $2k. The good news is that the boys at Gold COast 4X4 Accessories ARB did the lot at no charge. The warranty on the locker was 2 years / 40000km. The utes is 2.5 years old and has done 82000km, so they really have taken care of me as they could have wiped their hands of the whole thing. I will certainly be continuing to spend money there and recommend that people go see them as they have some of the best customer service I have come accross.

Now I just have to find the time o go use my locker again in anger... can't wait!!!

great to hear that it was all covered. Like mentioned previously, good to hear a happy ending once in a while.

also, very hard to find customer service as good as that from a bunch of people who do give a $hit.

;)

goes along way to building trust with the customer and loyalty.
