You'll find that the new prado 150 and FJ cruiser also have the 3.73:1 ratio diffs making the 3.7:1 locker much more popular and prevalent.

Its good to finally see some more competition on the market...competition always benefits the consumer.

Only thing Id love to see is the clamping force comparison between the E-locker and ARB Locker....from my understanding the ARB locker has a very high clamping force...if the Eaton product can match it then they are on a good wicket.

max, there was a very good comparo in a recent 4WD Action mag that road tested and then destructively tested all comers. Eaton fared very well.

Thanks Mate.

Thinking of looking in the states for one seems to be a better deal than $1,550 that OL want.

Was going to contact Harrop too to see what deal we could do on a group buy :o

Mick
no good looking in the states as theses are remade for local cars from an imported product as to why its called a Eaton Harrop E-locker
Eaton USA - the manufacturer of unit
Harrop Melb - bought the Aussie rights and re-engineered to suit local market

Before i purchased i called every O.L store in W.A near Perth.
All but 1 removed front as a unit and got a diff shop to fit then they replace unit.
$4 g's about it. rear is easy... maybe 1800 ish ?? but yeah 2200 if about it for the front.

Reading the W/Shop manual its a PITA to fit and measure up etc as you do the back lash through the drain plug hole

I will be removing diff dropping off myself and then refitting as a whole to save a bit.

Good to see everyone is now trying these
As i was the first guinea pig
rear locker is still going fantastic no dramas in any respect

the only thing i would change (hindsight is a good thing not) is put E-locker in front (not avail back then) and run a detroit in the rear
i so miss having a LSD in the rear , but then again with detroit in the rear the missus wouold shit herself everytime you come outa a roundabout

Jack, I've been quoted $1,500 for the unit and $550 install on the front and $350 for the rear.

Cannot find the units better than $1,500, Harrop must be tight on the wholesale price.

I should have some pricing through in the next couple of weeks for some export orders. Maybe we can squeeze in a group buy ;)
