There wasn't any at the time when I purchased my Hilux so I purchaed the upgraded Toyota genuine side steps. They are very solid and beefy and bolt straight on. They are a massive improvement over the stock standard steps that come with the vehicle and they look good too!

Good luck finding some and keep us updated how you get on!

Thanks mate, they do look stronger for sure, could you tell me when you get a chance if those ones are steel tube where the black tube is visible in your picture? Or aluminium also do they mount to the chassis

As I found out when I had a custom set made up early this year, any side rail/rock slider must comply with the side intrusion Australian standard for air bag activation (not going to get into any half arsed argument again about the issue).

I now have a small amount of $s sitting in the back shed doing sfa.

The side steps above are all steel, They are attached to the chassis via 3 large cross members. If you were to buy the Toyota side rails that come off the front bar these can be fitted to the step via removing the round corner closest to the bottom in the pic, they go straight into the steal tube. It's hard to see in the pic but there is a join there. Look 3 inches back from the corner you can see the join.

From experience they are super strong, You will have a very hard time bending them.

When i get out of work I will get under my Hilux and get a picture of the cross members attached to the chassis. They are solid as and I was informed when purchasing that Toyota over engineered them to be super strong.

Awesome I am seriously considering them now cheers. With the front Toyota bullbars there is no highlift jack point is there? Edit: sorry I though I seen a bull bar earlier in that picture but I now realise I was seeing things haha
