(edit: title should read Marks Adaptors )

Yeah,

As the title states, I will fitting mine this weekend and was wondering where other hilux owners have fitted theirs if they have them?

I was thinking just quickly looking at the hilux, that I might remove the glovebox and fit it behind it somewhere.

any ideas?

The model box I have is -

Second thought is can you track down the wire under the dash, saves drilling a hole in the tunnel :-)

Dan,

I took some of your advice today.....

I fitted the Speedo Ratio Box and tested out the connector on the gearbox and found which wire was the pulse wire.

I then removed the oddometer cluster and checked out the spaghetti that was the wiring behind it.

Found the wire which I was "pretty sure" was the one, (pink with blue stripe)

And then cautiously cut it. (I wouldnt make a good bomb defuser)

Wired in the wiring and took her for a drive to test it out before I put it all back together again.

Works fine, no need to run wiring through the body to underneath the vehicle and Im spewing I never did it like that with me last hilux.

Anyway, I fitted the unit just above the drivers footrest and screwed it into the cooling unit and nicely tucked all the wiring out of the way and checked to make sure under normal driving whether my foot would hit it.

Job well done for once :)

excellent 8-)

Can you easily see what setting the switch is on? That was one of the reasons I didn't screw mine down, so I could pull it out if I needed to change it.

Well had a look at wiring up my adaptor box today, seems a bit harder than i first thought. Can anyone tell me which wire the red , the brown , and blue connect into, i have read that one of the wires gets connected to the wire with pink with blue stripes. And where are they located inside the cab, i had a look but so many wires . Another thing , when i cut the wires do i join it back together with the new wire?

Any help would be great.
