Does an inverter use any power when it’s switched on but there is nothing plugged into it? I’m going to fit a small inverter under the seat to charge 18650 batteries and hand held radios ect.

Changa,it's a 3.7 volt 2400mAh li-ion battery, 18mm in dia and 65mm long used in Cree q5 torches, a very bright led, 220 lumens.

Ashy,

Do I see a flashaholic here?

I use 17670 li-ion batteries on my Surefire G2 Nitrolon and 6P Original.

Both have been modded to use Cree Q5 LED drop in modules. I am using drop in from Dereelight. Guilt free lumens now.........
Cheers

it will suck a bit of power i believe, if there is a switch on the inverter itself, i would recommend that you turn it off via that

**Sorry for the advertising, I won't mention this again and it's not spam. I just noticed a few guys mentioned they have interest in high powered torches.

If anyone is interested I sell these out of my shop. I'm really impressed with the build quality and the amount of light you get out some of the smaller units. http://www.ledlenserusa.com/
Just PM me with a part number and I'll let you know if it's available in Australia and what sort of $$ you're looking at.

Shrek,

No worries.

Hmmm....... nice lights...... we call them torchlights but the Yanks call them flashlights.

It's always the American English spelling versus the British English.
