Best place for second battery and compressor?

Hi, just getting ARB rear locker fitted,with their high output compressor, and a dual battery system.Where is the best place under the bonnet to install both.??

Depends on which hilux you have. I have an 06 Dual Cab V6 without ABS. I have my compressor mounted on the drivers side near the firewall, but high enough to access.
I have a battery installe on the passenger side back up near the firewall using an ARB mount. I use a Redarc for my dual battery system, installed by yours truly.
I also have another battery mounted in the tray in what will eventually be custom drawers.

I am the same as Brett.
If you are fitting lockers its not a bad idea to have the compressor or the solenoid not inside the cab.
Had to cut the locker airline when I fitted the new tub and diff oil drained out of it. It hasnt leaked out the solenoid yet but I may eventually.
Could ruin carpet and the stench in the cab of diff oil wouldnt be too pleasant.

Hi,its a D4D 2007.Obvious place on passenger side firewall for battery, but it looks tight for compressor.

the compressor fits on the drivers side in front of the firewall even with the ABS, pretty sure i have a pic on my profile.

In the 08 model there is not room for the compressor. Not sure what is in its spot but that corner is full.

My 2nd batteries going in the tray, theres enough weight on the front as it is!
