This is a loooong shot, but does anybody know if it is possible to delay the power off to the power windows so you can wind up after car turned off. just like commodores.
only had the truck for a few weeks and is annoying me. maybe i will get used to it after a couple more

My turbo timer (Bogaard) allows the windows to be operated while the engine times out, very handy

Yes, Macca is right. The turbo timer lets the power continue to operate, or you could do what we had in my wifes car. Install an alarm with the function inbuilt. All we would do is get out, close the doors and press the 'Arm' button. First the passenger window would wind up, then the drivers side, then the sun roof if it was open. The doors would then lock and the alarm arm itself. No fear of someone stealing it while the windows were winding up as the car wouldn't go anywhere without the key.

If your keen I would suggest that Jaycar would have somekind of module that allows for this delay to happen. You would need to wire it in, or get a decent auto electrician to do so.. these are usually pretty cheap and effective little gizmo's.

Other than the turbo timer as mentioned already, you could do a alarm upgrade which has the 'auto-up' window mechanism built in. I have this and it is great, except for when you want to leave your window slightly open for some ventilation... they always close!
Speak to Electric Life or Brant if you want to look at this option.

hey, thanks for your input. i have recently bought a miccon turbo timer which is great and allows for windows up after key out. BUT.. i cant lock the doors while timer is counting down!
That car alarm system sounds cool. how much would you pay for such a system?

I got a system called Steel Mate off Ebay, I have had it a while and never got around to installing it. It will automaticly wind up any windows that are down as soon as you turn off the ignition. Thought it would be handy... but just havnt done it yet... Cheers TOMUCH
