Dual cab behind seat water bladder

Just fitted mine to SR5 took 45mins Inc filling. Top use of space, especially for those with kids where back seat can't be used for anything.

guys ,make sure you dont fill bladder with a garden hose ,use a hose intended for drinking water ,you can purchase from bunnings 10m for $20 this will ensure the taste quality is not affected by the toxins released from the garden hose .

You can drink it mate, just taste like "Garden Hose" and gives you a twitch and tick, apart from that all good.

Interesting ...... I've got a small sub woofer at the back so wasn't too sure if the bladder at the back seat might work.

Could you provide more details of you have any of the one from Opposite Lock?

Brendan,

My issue is one child seat in the back and another on the way, so two seats mean no rear seat mod for about 5 years or using the space behind there.

All I know is it is made by boab (recognised brand) goes over the tail shaft tunnel in the back. I will be going in to OL tomorrow to have a chat, will let you know.

Went to OL today and come home with a new goodie. Will post some pic's and a new thread this weekend about it.

Hey guys received mine in the mail today and since a monsoon decided to sit itself over Darwin I had some spare time to install it. Very happy with the fit, gear provided, etc. Filled it up this arvo (With a garden hose ) to about 2/3rds full. Will go for a drive tonight to see how it all sounds, any leaks, etc but in the meantime some pics for you fellas still deciding on whether to purchase one.

My advice is if you haven't filled this space with something yet then this is the answer.

Happy that it was the right tank for a start!
Image

Everything out of the box: Bladder, 2 x D-shackles, filler hose w/ fittings, dispenser hose w/ fitting and thread tape
Image

Backseat removed. Haven't done the folding seat mod yet but will find the time at work tomorrow. Backseat is staying out for my Kimberly Easter trip anyway :D
Image

Tank in. These were the D-shackles supplied. Haven't taped/insulated them at this stage but if it becomes an issue I will.
Image

Bladder hooked up using standard seat securing hook
Image

Finished, unfilled product
Image

Dispenser hose. Be interesting how the valve stands up to some vibrations/corrugations
Image

The filled tank. Won't be putting my seat back in for a few weeks but I'd fill it with the seat folded back up to ensure that it does fit!

Enjoy!
Cheers, Mick

Jack,
Drove around yesterday with the bladder 2/3rds full and you can only hear some water slosh around sharp turns. I still have my backseat removed so I reckon that would deaden some of the sound once folded back up. I'm not planning to have it filled when I'm not using it either. No issues with the D-shackles they just sit nice and tightly around the hook. All I can say is I'm one happy customer and looking forward to using it next weekend! :D

mmmm, sounds like i might have to chuck an order in tonight, so i got it to fit over easter!
So haveing the back seat in, reakon that would make the sound lighter and 'baffle' it a little?

Yeah I notice a lot of road noise through the back of the cab with the seat out so I reckon it would quieten things up a bit

The bladder suits other members needs better and is what they want....
Also the bladder holds 50L, your two 20L drums only hold 40L, so therfore the bladder holds 10L more, it aint the same :?

So josh, how is it going, with driving around with it full, any taste of the rubber etc etc?

Its going good Jack hey. No real taste. I flushed it with a few full tanks first then left it full for a few days and tasted it. No real taste. So far its very positive :D
