Check my other post that Max put up for me on the steinbauer module, there is a dyno sheet on there with the results from a humex 3 inch system. Would be hard to beat I think.

I have a 2.5... I'd go either 2.5 for a medium sound good perf on and auto

or 3 for Redneck heaven, a must for a manual to get some extra kick, or just to get the redneck points up for an auto....

Word of warning.... with a 3" pipe, you can't hide unless your rolling... :D

i have a 3'' turbo back mandrel bent with high flow muffler and cat. love the sound with decent preformance gain. In the future im going to get another piece made up and replace the muffler section and bolt up a straight through piece to make it louder
mmaaxx has the same system but has no muffler.

Muffler......?

What the F#$K is that ?

Mate, you need to go a 3" dump pipe behind the turbo...then its up to you if you want a 2.75 Beaudesert type of exhaust or a 3" exhaust as I have........

I got a HUMEX / Sterling Brand 3" straight through with the dump pipe and no mufflers....like Quinny said, give ya a Factor 10 on the redneck scale.

Defect? Because the oversize tyre, the wider than allowable wheel track, the darker than legal tint, are not gonna get noticed either?

if its illegal its illegal....thats my choice...you cant be "just a little bit illegal", if one thing is defective that could get you a fine, you may aswell do it right.....

how many fourbies on the road are legal? and how many coppers have a clue either?

I think the answer to both of those questions is zero lol.

I run a 3 inch mandrel bent system from mercury mufflers. 3 inch dump pipe and muffler. Im the same as the other boys, next time, muffler is gone! Got mine for $800 fitted, was pretty happy with that

Heh. One defect might get you a warning if the orrificer is in a good mood. Multiple are likely to get you multiple fines ;) Some coppers up here do have a clue too unfortunately.

Hey Gents
I dropped into Liverpool Exhaust today, for a quote on a 3" system.
What they have seems pretty good, with minimal joins at the bends, a straight through muffler (No Mmmaaxx, I'm not that redneck that I'd go without a muffler, I do appreciate a bit of quietness inside the car!), and a metal? catalytic diesel converter? Can't remember exactly what he called it, anyway he said don't go with a ceramic one, they're no good.
I was quoted $1200 supplied and installed, does anyone have an idea if this is around the right money?
I have a DP Chip which is on setting number 7 at the moment, and I was told I can only crank it up more if I get the exhaust done.

Steve,

theres a slight rumble at idle and abit of a whistle...when you accelerate it has that deep burbling diesel sound like some of thise Patrol Comp Trucks do, but as the load reduces as you accelerate the noise level quietens down. Also, when you back off the accelerator theres abit of a whistle through the exhaust as the turbo spins/slows down.

its not rediculously loud.

Here, have a look at the last 30 seconds of this video, its the only one I got where you'll get an idea of what the exhaust sounds like, but it is just off idle in low range....I dont have one opening up the throttle, might get round to it at some stage.

And heres the link to the exhaust thats being sold on ebay -
