+ 120db Airhorns (hence why the audio is off ;))..

Yeah ive moved it since then so its not obstructed by the mirror mount anymore.. now its a full picture (good thing they gave me 2 x sticky pad things for it :))..

Imagine though if I HAD hit him.. a hit from the rear is instantly my fault.. until now, where the video footage proves beyond doubt he was in the wrong..

singlespeed wrote:After researching these cameras for a while I settled on the Powerucc Panorama II, mainly because it gets great reviews, uses a Sony Exmor sensor, and is compatible with Mac (viewing software). It's very easy to install the cabling for the camera and the GPS receiver because of the gaps in the side pillars and headliner. From the driver seat it's hardly visible anyway. The installation is very clean, I opted to go under the mirror rather on the side because I wanted to be able to access the buttons/menus without hassle.

I'd like to see how others have installed them as well.

Here's mine:

Here's a couple of sample videos from around Melbourne. Make sure you watch in HD 1080P, even then the Youtube quality isn't as good as the raw MPEG file from the camera.

And I thought it was because you had Justin Beiber playing full noise again

Good to see some footage from some of these dash cams 8-)

Anywhere from 4.5hrs to 7hrs at best quality depending on the mode it's in on a 16g card. Dashcamsaustralia.com.au have heaps of info on them to check out.

I thought WA was the only place they did that. Very common over here and not much fun when you're riding a motorbike when it happens as well.

Ended up going a Roam2 camera that I could easily swap between the bike helmet and car, unfortunately it doesn't have GPS/speed etc, should have got the next model up... Oh well.

Who would be interested in a group but for a dash cam. Either the DR-500 or the DR-550. Some places offer discounts of more than 20% for multiple buyers. It would be from a Australian seller so no problems with warranty...

Wazza, if you're serious about it, probably best to start a separate thread in the group buys section viewtopic.php?f=62&t=8069 so as not to pollute Steve's thread. :D

If you guys are serious about a group buy, I am happy to run it.

We'll move that discussion to that thread though.

If you are interested, please go to : viewtopic.php?f=62&t=8069&start=80#p326393
and post up that you are interested, as we need an indication of numbers so we can get pricing together.

I'd be keen on a group buy, but would prefer a newer model based on Q7 chip (iirc)
