i wouldnt ever put one of these cheap chips in my lux ever...wayyy to cheap to work properly,if they were as good as they say they are there would be one in every hilux in the world...just sayin...i hope they work for u guys, but if the lux is going into limp mode that surely indicates something is very wrong
old enough to know better...young enough to not give a f**k

So no engine light glowing as soon as you installed it? Best you give your details to Jack for the direct deposit.

Mate please tell us more, as everybody who has used them apart from you have had limp mode issues.

They emailed me as soon as i won it on ebay and asked exactly what the build date was and how many pins on the connection at the rail, then they said they would send one set up for my ute and thats it.
The broken english of the Krauts is a bit hard to work out but i reckon chips are all very much alike internally.
Bloke i know has another cheap brand on a tilt tray and he reckons its as good as DP on his other truck.

From a non-technical person ;)

Limp Mode = The computer / engine management sensors something that may hurt your motor and cuts most of the power to the engine, enables you to limp home and have the vehicle looked at.

That’s basically why it's called limp mode

Allot of the cheaper chips increase the fuel in the fuel rail which the computer detects and puts the car in limp mode as the extra fuel in the high pressure rail can blow seals and so forth

I’m sure someone else has a more technically answer than the above

That's fine Mick.

I can't resist but what's the sexual connotation for limp mode? Sorry mate ;)

quick update emailed nolimits today and they sent me the entire settngs list of 32settings!!,tried a few very top got limp mode but found some a few notches back that go like a dog shot in the arse (for a diesel).i CANT fault the product or the service-very professional, (im a builder in business and they are spot on for service) its making the local blokes look like a bunch of thieves in all honesty.
Sorry but thats the truth in my eyes.

Pac, its horses for courses of course, and depends on what people want from a tuning box.

They certainly cannot compete with our chip so I don't think you were targetting us on that flame. ;)

Just so there is some clarity:

They are not tuned here, they are not able to be custom tuned, they don't do Boost Control and they don't have EGT overtemp protection and they don't have 5 years warranty

Also local technical support is very favourable to most people and having an Aussie to speak to makes a lot people feel a lot more confident too.

ie trying calling them. All you get is a"contact us" email address.

Another example http://www.no-limit-tuning.com/tuning_example.php On this page the sensor they are refering to here is the MAP sensor ... not the CR sensor!!!
