Oh and I put the leaf back in the rear spring packs because I'm now towing a trailer everyday. It means I lose some flex offroad but with the leaf removed it eventually ended up on the bumps stops when loaded up.

Supposedly Dute has a 'secret handshake' for 33s is there one for twin lockers as well? ;)

i believe there is but it involves meeting at the top of the gnarliest hillclimbs where only dual lockers will take you

so true. . . . ;) ;) ;) ;)

She'll be unstopable now with the lockers doggs!
Did you put genuine driveshafts back in or go some aftermarket ones?

Aftermarket. Right inner boot already has a hole in it. :( Over greased maybe. :? I'm waiting for the call to go back and get it replaced.

Not Repco, I can't remember the brand that my mechanic used.  I will replace with genuine (or MR if they happen again) when I save a bit of coin. I can't see myself doing much wheeling in the near future anyway. I'll be too busy getting my business up and running.

Re: A Dog's Breakfast - MADDOG's Build. New Lux

Postby MADDOG on Sat, 17 Aug 2013 11:59 +0000

Well I bought a 2012 SR auto D4D in August last year and finally have it ready to hit the tracks. I got rid of my 2006 SR manual D4D a couple of months ago and swapped some parts onto the new Lux.

The new one has :
Monster Rides DMS stage 2 front suspension set at about 3".
MR bump and droop stops.
MR Rekon rear shocks with standards springs reset 2.5" higher.
1" bodylift.
KSP Offroad front bar.
MR bashplates.
MR transmission crossmember.
TJM replica transmission bashplate to fill the gap between the MR diffdrop bashplate and MR tranny crossmember.
Patrol steelies.
285/75R16 Silverstone Sports.
Cheap flares from Thailand that don't cover my tyres.
MADDOG's custom mudflaps.
Rear E-locker.
Wiring is done for the front E-locker, I just need to save some dollars to have it installed.
Steinbauer power module.
Humes 3" straight through exhaust.
Safari snorkel.
Millweld rocksliders.
GME TX3400 UHF.
ARB turbo timer.
ARB air compressor.
Plus a few other bits and pieces and as we all know there are plenty of other things on the wish list but this will suffice to get me offroad at the moment.
