Ok iv found some time to take some more pics of Harriet so here we go.

Ok some better pics of my head unit

Image

Image

I finished the seat install, Im really loving the new seats soooo much more comfortable than the origional ones. Im still waiting on re ulpholstering the rear seats but it will happen not too sure if i will do the door cards or not.

Iv also started to install a better tie down system in the tray, Iv used an alloy uni strut model number 4000 and some unit strut angle brackets which have sprung nuts under so they can be moved easily. The main reasion i have installed these brackets is to hold my Hi Lift Jack. Once fully installed ill be sure to post up the pics but here we go.

And now we come the the ARB Air compressor.

Well it was a bit of an impulsive buy well gift really, I did a job and need to be paied and this is what happened. Im happy with it anyways.

I installed it in the rear compartment of the space cab under the rear seats. I mounted it to the forward wall of the seat which ment i had to completely remove the whole rear compartment to get the carpet up correctly what a job. Now i can see y i cant have a baby seat. The only problem was that i had to extend the power ables and now the fuse is miles away from the batt but oh well. Its a bit hard to get a good pic i should have taken it b4 i but the interior back in but anyways here it is.

And just some pics of my beautiful wiring its taken be hours of rewiring and stuffing around makin it look any good, especially since ARB did such a crap job with the bull bar parkers and indicators.

Image

Ill change the tech screws with some black philips head screws when i find some but its no biggie.

And the aftermarket switches i got for my spotlights front and rear ( rears just got ordered today so more mods still to come ) :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

OK Iv finally finished the install of the swivel mounted rear fog lights. I can say i dont think ill be doin it again. I couldn't believe that i have to completly remove and split the roll bars to get the wiring down the tube. I had to remove the hardlid side brackets which means that the bars had to be split, thats a pretty dumb design flaw i think.

Well hear they are, they are completly water proof, made from harden plastic and they are 55w bulbs. I didnt want a spot light so a fog light was ideal. These should be great for a night time 4x4, they should give me a little extra side light. Hopefully i wont rub up next to a tree again now.

Image

Image

I also managed to make my wiring even neater at the battery end even with extra wiring. Im really looking forward to the dual batteries, but just cat see the use of them at this point of time. ( just dont get the time to go camping as much as i would like )

Image

Image

Im deffinitly looking forward to making my rock sliders tomorrow. So keep and eye on this thread as ill be posting up my new rock sliders real soon.

Ok the rock sliders build has begun.

This is as far as we got today as my wielder had to go and help his dad put up a shed.

I koow they are a little over kill but there was a little mis communication with the size of the main box section. I asked for RSH instead of SHS. But a little over kill never hurt any body.

Here is what iv got so far.

Image

Image

Image

Still got to sort out the front bracket then start on the tube work for the side step.

Not too sure how im going to do the rear bracket on the passengers side as there isnt much room to fit the bracket between the chassis and the fuel tank. If any one has some opinions please can you pass them on.....

Well after 3 long saturdays of work the DieagotheCat / Harriet the Hilux Rock sliders are complete.

Many Thanks to my mate Shane for spending even more time in his welding bay then asked for by his boss...

Im very happy with the way they have turned out, there was definitly a bit of stuffing around but the finished product i think speeks for them selves

Nice rig mate, and carpeted floors in your garage - luxury!

Did you end up with the EFS kit or upgrade to the Konis? How you finding them 6 weeks down the track? Considering the EFS kit for my ute. What lift and springs did you go with?

Thanks
Dave
