nah.. the toyota genuine CD has a field in the actual application that requires a Toyota dealer code to be entered.. its not a copywritten CD, so that app wont help..

The links i posted above contain the toyota workshop manual. (Someone with the genuine one could check that the link above is the complete manual vs the genuine one ?)..

Yeh I know, I think the codes are time sensitive. Don't worry about it. Just copy all the files over to the HDD and check the top level folder and there will be a .html file or something there. Double click on it. It should open the manual. If it errors becasue of a missing ActiveX from Adobe, google it and install it manually and it will all work! You can rename the file name to index.htm and it will open if you just open the folder in your bowser.

The copy protection must just be applied to the install program...

Just tearing my hair out until I came across this topic. Thanks Steve for the download links for the EWD for my Lux07. Took about 4 minutes to download each plus another 1 to unrar and unzip. Cannot thank you enough, it has saved me hours of tracking down the correct wires and circuits.
Kind regards,

I bought a Toyota 2005-2009/2010 service manual off ebay australia back in March. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, cost about $20AUS I seem to recall. It was the full Toyota service manual and arrived on a disc. It was obviously a copy of the genuine manual (so not sure its totally legit), but it works and contains everything. On startup it asks for your vehicles manufacture date. It is around 800MB and so far everything I've wanted to check has been in the manual..I had previously downloaded the Tacoma and Vigo manuals off the net, but believe the $20 was the best $20 I've spent.. :D

Hi Steve,
Downloaded the service manual files but it is asking for a password to extract/open them. Is this correct as I didn't read anything about a password in the thrread?

Cheers

Does anyone have a downloaded copy of the later service manual that is covered by http://toyota.esealtd.com/toyota/hilux/index2.html?

You can see this has been updated as the Electrical section of the audio and clock have the SR5 steering controls where Steve's download doesn't. The Introduction page also covers the 2008/08 version.

Thanks.

Paul.
