Workshop/Service Manual

Geeez 9W6VX, that was downloading from one of the best IPs here in Australia (not BigPond).

If it took half a day imagine what it would have taken to grab the original .rar file!

Workshop/Service Manual

Postby 9W6VX on Sat, 29 Sep 2007 2:40 +0000

Well, it should be less than that.

What happenned was I took the laptop upstairs to my bedroom and was checking my mails etc and downloaded the file at the same time.

I ran out of battery juice and was just too lazy to go downstairs to my study room to take the charger and let the laptop hibernate.

I continued the download this morning.

So, if I actually count the download time it is definitely lass than half a day.....

Thanks... if only we had the real Hilux manual.

I did a Google search for Hilux repair manuals and can't find it Australia nor in UK.

Haynes Australia nor Ellery Australia has it yet.

Any ideas?

I emailed Ellery Australia and they replied:

Hi,

We have just started writing the later Hilux manual, should be available in around 12 months.

Kind regards,

Nick Ryan
Ellery publications

Another year! And the new Hilux series came out in 2005!

Hmmmm.... three years from launch (2005) to get the book. I'm sure they must have known that the Hilux is so popular worldwide that getting the book out would have been profitable for them.

Oh well.......

I believe it may have been a licensing issue.

Matt,

It's not for the Tacoma. I deleted it recently and I only have the Hilux.

Let me know how you want it.

i got my hands on a genuine workshop manual cd, but was unable to unlock it. You need a code from the dealership and they weren't nice enough to give it to me.

I have an isoBuster application you can use to unlock the files and extract them off the CD. You can rar them and upload for us then? Not sure if PowerISO would work though.

PM me ur email and I'll send it to you.

Shaker.
