Just saw on the news, I think it was June to December 2018. Recall to replace the brake booster.

I see that it is now up on the recall list. Mine is one of the ones affected, I haven't received the letter from Toyota yet and it was already booked in for a service on Monday. I will see what they have to say.

I had my car serviced yesterday, when dropping it off, I asked about recall.
They asked if I had received a letter yet? and that they wouldn't have the parts to complete it anyway.
I was hoping that it could be done before the holiday period, but will have to wait.....

I’d be complaining about it to Toyota. Given it is supposedly an urgent safety recall, you have taken it to a Toyota dealer who have given it back to you unrectified yet are obviously aware of the problem. Imagine the scenario that it now fails on you and you destroy something worth a motza.

Just got back from service department. They need to check the serial numbers of the brake booster, as not all the recalled vehicles are affected. A certain batch of the brake booster. Mine is one of the affected vehicles, so I have to book it in to have it swapped over.
