trailer lights problem

Postby davem93 on Sat, 08 Feb 2014 11:47 +0000

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my 56 plate hilux d4d. i can get all lights working on a trailer except the indicators. I fitted a new 7 pin plug and the problem still remains. multimeter is not getting any voltage on the indicator pins. Had a quick look through other topics and see that there should be a relay unit somewhere with fuses built in?? Wonder if that is a possible cause? Had a look this afternoon and cant see one. Just wondered if anyone could help with this problem.

cheers

There is a relay box on the left side under the bonnet just behind your under bonnet relay box it has 2 relays and a 15 amp fuse that is most likely your problem.

If you have dual batteries it may have been moved to a different location.

Had the same problem, tearing my hair out for a week trying to find the source.

Read your post and solved it in 30 seconds.

Thanks boxhead55 :)

Just had the same problem, thanks for the solution.... I think its really weird that a fuse for the trailer indicators is separate to anything else.
