Hi sam just had a thought,I believe the switches are at least $300.00 If there were 4 people interested in this experiment & we pooled resources to buy a switch it would be less than $80.00 each, more people then even cheaper,I am about 1200 km from you ,so a drive over is out of the question but could be interested in something like supporting your Idea ,can't see anyone would be interested in pulling the switch out of a brand new truck. If the Idea worked for you then you pay out the other members who chipped in & keep the switch. If the idea fails due to requireing much more pieces than just the switch, like not able to cut out steering wheel,or just far too complicated then what do we do with the useless switch? May be someone could add to this with better alternatives.(like said at the start just a thought but may be impractable) CHEERSHiruxHijinx wrote:Who wants to meet up and try this?? You can't bodge me up a wiring diagram of how you think the wiring works?
I can go buy some buttons & switches and make up a bodge setup to test the full function of it, and I think if that all worked fine, it would be okay for me to go and shell out ~$300 for the Yota switch assy.
I read somewhere that we may need a double pole brake pedal switch also, but I can work that out, it may already be fitted as standard, I haven't looked yet.
Let me know,
Sam.
