LDA & RSA wont Turn off and STAY OFF !!

Postby jamessalmosalar on Mon, 21 Oct 2024 4:49 +0000

Hi,

I have a problem where the RSA and the LDA wont turn off and stay off!

I can turn them off no problem but when I turn the ignition off and restart the Hilux is would seem it doesn't remember I turned them off so at the start of every single journey I have to turn off the LDA on my steering wheel and go though settings for the RSA.

surely this shouldn't be the case??

Interesting about your old hilux keeping the settings. What year was that one? Wondering if toyota changed something in the newer models.

The Hilux Owners Manual indicates that:

The LDA will retain the last setting ON or OFF from the steering wheel button presses when ignition is cycled.
The default Enable/Disable modes for the Yaw Assist and Sway Warning parts of the LDA need to be set via the Multifunction Display (so set both to OFF and it should stop any vehicle interventions even if LDA is switched on by the steering wheel button).
PCS and RSA will reset to ON every time the ignition is switched on even if the default mode on the Multifunction Display is set to OFF.
You can kill the RSA warnings even when its ON by setting Notifications to 'No Notification' option.
