Hilux by Arctic Trucks

I was visiting Arctic Trucks in Dubai to install some mountain top gear when I spotted a gen 8 Hilux they were working on. Thought you guys might find it cool so here are some pics:

They're 35s, 315/70 R17. This is their AT35 kit, they have an AT37 kit where they install 37x12.5 R17 tires.

Here are the catalogs and prices for both the AT35 and AT37. Prices are in UAE Dirhams.

They are still selling the 1GR-FE V6 gen8 in South Africa in right hand drive, plus underdog racing in the USA still have the complete TRD supercharger kits …

1gr-fe is nothing to write home about this bullet proof v6 is no more reliable than any other engine it requires maintance they drink fuel like no tomorrow they haven't got the goods on a ls1 1gr-fe isn't on the list of the most powerful engines Ive driven it is the most thirsty engine Ive ever owned. The v6 Hilux won't beat a diesal Hyundi Santa Fa in a drag race off the lights. The supercharged version won't beat a commodore in a drag race off the lights eirther I once said the the carsalesman if it wins Ill buy it.

Geez Steve, who wants to drag-race a hilux? ;) I bet a LS1 won't do what a hilux can do, especially in a commodore
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.

I bet a LS1 won't do what a hilux can do ,got me there,, Im yet to see one do what the lux can do even when they put them in patrols. Probably why I keep buying them fuel costs never used to matter like they do now. :D on another note a freind has a 1gr-fe pradro 240k's ish she had the engine light come on took it to mechanic they chargerd her 4 hours labour swaping the cam sensors side to side before deciding it needs timing chains she does rev shit out often. They don't f$@#&% much as not many blokes know much about them, I've serviced them thats about was what most of my mates said when i asked them, the one mate I have that did his time at toyota who sent me to the bloke that fixed mine knew its not fun to do the chains . He told me to stop crying you wont have to do anything else to it for a long time yours had never been serviced propely in its life .

I might be outta line a little here, but I'm interested in learning more about the pressure gauge above each tire and whether it comes with a small "area light" with various options for switching them on & off than hearing about commodores. Also wondering if the guages can include push button switches to incorporate pressure increases and reductions when changing terrain ... Or maybe a centralised adjustment panel.

The V6 fuel consumption is as bad as my previous FJ cruiser but because fuel is cheap here it really isn't an issue. To fill up my tank it costs me around $25 and most of my trips are to Saudi next door where fuel is as cheap so all is good!

If only it were possible for you to email some to us as an attachment, you could charge double what you pay and it'd be still be bucket loads cheaper than we pay.

That's 2 interested in the flares with the pressure gauges and what they might be able to do.
Just did a quick google search and found nothing. Maybe "Usurp" could find out the manufacturer and we could track it down that way?
Just a Thought!

I'm at a loss as to why someone would want 33's on a hilux... :o why not just get a job in the mines and drive trucks with giant tyres?

Yeah I ran 33's for a long time. Yes, they do rub but you get used to it. 32's remain my preferred tyre size as they do the job well, dont rub much and are legal.

The manufacturer is Arctic Trucks and they don't sell the flares separately. They're part of their AT35 and AT37 kits. I already asked because a friend wanted the flares for the LC200 Landcruiser and they said they're part of a kit and not sold individually.

Thanks for checking that out for us.
Do you have any info on what might be included in the kit ... and maybe will they ship the "Kit Components" OS?
Just trying to think outside the box a little.

<Edit> Just did a quick google search and it seems they have a few locations, just not in Australia.
