Your fuel consumption doesn't sound very flash. Mine has averaged 16L/100Km over 80000 k's with 98, 95 and even E10 being put in it. Larger tyres, bull bar, lifted all the things to ruin economy but then even before I did that stuff it averaged 15L/100km.
I did change the collector in the exhaust where the two banks meet to a more direct flowing joint rather than the horrible t joint it had. That improved my economy by about 1l/100Km at the time.
