i HAVE done another test RPM based. kindly assist to check. something is weird with the figures on these few things. Nothing added or removed parts from the last scanned results.

To my knowledge, most of the diagnostics are done at idle and at operating temperature. From that information your system looks fine.

I dont know what the reference data for the SCV is, only the the pressure it regulates at idle. Some further information is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWfnlUCgcAo

The EGR clean refers to cleaning out your intake between EGR valve to the engine. It is common for the soot and oil for clog the system and restrict airflow. Do a search on the forum for how to clean the system.

Hi guys just wondering if some one could have a look over my techstream figures for me. TIA

I have a 01/2006 Sr5 Auto Hilux 1kdftv motor.

Not running a chip
It has a Stage 4 Gturbo on it. Vehicle still to be dyno tuned.

Has got:
egr blanking plate with 7mm hole
new MAP sensor
new MAP filter
new SCV
near new MAF sensor
new Air filter
new Fuel filter

Injectors seem to be within spec still.
Using a different scanner i did notice my Fuel Temp Sensor constantly sits at -40c
When reving the vehicle it seems feels sluggish up until u hit 2800rpm and then it really comes alive. Would this be happening because of the Stage 4 turbo that hasnt yet been dyno tuned?
And i havent yet done any supporting upgrades to suit the new turbo either.

Load is a little high and the maf is on the high side as well.

But I just read that you've upgraded the turbo without a supporting tune - best get that done.
I might be wrong.

HELP! Rebuilt Engine, Injector Value Reading ADVICE

hey guys, i'm a new member here, always reading the forums when it comes to my hilux, but i never actually signed up! Well today i did, i look forward to joining the community! :lol: :lol:

I recently got a rebuilt motor and brand new injectors for my 2010 Toyota Hilux SR5 1KD-FTV KUN26, EGR was cleaned and a plate with a 7mm hole installed, just trying to figure out why my fuel consumption is so high at about an average of 14L/100km. Do my injectors look ok? Is it normal for injector #4 being so different in value compared to the others, as all the other injectors have values pretty similar to each other? All readings taken after about 2 minutes of engine start up.

I also suspect i have a turbo boost leak somewhere, i will be doing a boost leak pressure test, just waiting for some parts to arrive as ill be making a DIY boost leak tester myself. I'm just trying to do the process of elimination at the moment.

Were the injectors coded into the ecm when they were fitted?
Who fitted them?

hey marty, yeah the new injectors were coded and also pilot relearned. The guy who rebuilt my motor put them in, they have been in for maybe about 3 weeks at most, driven probably about 2-3000km if that, at first thought i was thinking injector #4 wasnt seated properly due to the values, but im not 100% sure, maybe someone here might have a better understanding of this then i do

yeah i have, it has not been tuned or chipped, basically a stock rebuilt 1kd-ftv engine, no new performance mods are any of the likes

I merged your thread to here where there is lots discussion on the values.

Unless I've missed something, the values look normal at idle - which really is the limitation of the test. As above though, best take it to a specialist... but I think you are on the right track with a leak somewhere.
I might be wrong.

Hey guys,


First, I apologize for my english.


I have a stock Hilux 2015 d4d 2KD FTV with 200.000km on the clock and a swwet life, its a family car, no hard work ever.


From time to time, my idle raise up to 900rpm, not 1200rpm, just 900rpm,the engine doesnt make any strange noise, or smells. No warm up button/ac pressed.



The car its running excelent, I just clean the egr/mainfold, and no fault code what so ever.

Last night, with my idle normal 750rpm, I run techestream, and I found PM Acumulation Ratio 92%.

I took the car for a highway drive ( 3rd gear 2500-2700rpm) and I was watching the PM Acumulation going down, I manage to do so until PM Acumulation showed 2%.

On my way back home, at the first stop, guess what, my Idle got back to 900rpm, so I just dont understand whats happening.

Battery voltage its normal an Injector are whitin 0.0-1.3/mm3

150k ish km. Just got 4 new injectors
Idle is high at
temperature: cold engine, 8 celcius outside

Did you figure out the issue? I (The Netherlands) see exactly the same behaviour. Must say it's getting colder outside ~6 celcius.

I've got 150k on the clock and just gotten my injectors renewed.

Possible cause for high idle is outside air temperature as ECU adds fuel to compensate. The manifold air temperature (MAT) is taken after the intercooler and turbo so at idle there's no compression of intake air to heat it up. Once the engine reaches running temperature all should be returned to normal idle.
